Olé Mexican Grill is a neighborhood restaurant owned by Erwin, Ricardo and Mary Ann Ramos. We have introduced Mexican culinary traditions of the states of Oaxaca and Veracruz to Arlington, at first, and then to Cambridge.

At Olé every meal is prepared individually, using only the freshest produce. Among our specialties one can sample a wide variety of appetizers such as: Alambre Con Queso Taco which is a charbroiled steak or chicken marinated in a special sauce, with grilled peppers, onions, mushrooms, bacon, topped with melted cheese and cilantro on two soft corn tortillas. Or the Tostada de Nopales, which is a combination of marinated cactus, lettuce, anejo cheese, salsa verde and mild chipotle sauce on top of crispy corn tortillas.

If you like soup instead, try the Pozole Olé, a traditional Mexican pork and chicken breast stew, simmered in its own broth with chile ancho, herbs and hominy.

If you are in a mood for greens try the Ensalada de Pollo, this is a grilled chicken breast with assorted grilled vegetables.

This is only the beginning: a popular entrée is the Cochinita Pibil which is shredded pork braised with fresh orange, onions, chile chipotle and tomatoes served on a banana leaf. Or try their Chiles Rellenos de Queso, which are two batter-fried poblano peppers stuffed with chihuahua cheese on a bed of salsa verde and rojo sauce.

And last but not least, their Vanilla Flan, a Mexican custard, is the perfect sweet treat to complete any meal.

Olé has been selected, twice consecutively, as the Best of Boston 1999 and 2000 by both Boston Magazine and Improper Bostonian Readers.

The place is tastefully decorated with Mexican crafts, the general ambiance is that of a spirited Oaxacan family dining room. The Cambridge location features live entertainment in the form of a mariachi duo: these musicians "tocan la guitarra", and perform traditional Mexican classical music. Olé requires reservations, and patrons tend to be young professionals and students of neighboring Universities such as Harvard, MIT, and Tufts. It is also a family-friendly place. The dress code is casual.

The Cambridge location is at 11 Springfield Street. To park on the street make sure you have quarters to feed the meter before 6.00 PM. The Arlington Olé is located at 203A Broadway, at this location you simply park in the street wherever you find a spot.
